New Site

The following site is now the OFFICIAL site for Payson Cross-Country and Track. All new info will be posted there. The blogspot site will no longer receive new info. The big advantage of this new site is that it is not blocked by the school's server and so can be viewed from school.

Home Meet

What a fantastic meet. We, the coaches, were so impressed by your commitment to the team and to working your guts out. It was a lot of fun to watch, even though we couldn't do much actual coaching.

Way to go!

Timpview, Salem HIlls, and Bulldog Inv

We had a great meet on Saturday. We felt a lot of positive energy, and there were some great performances. We were specially impressed by the way our "rookies" stepped up!

This week we compete at Salem Hills tomorrow (Tue). High school students are excused at 2:10, Junior high students at 2:00. The bus will leave at 2:30. The meet will follow the same schedule as last week.

On Saturday we will be competing in our first state qualifying invitational. It is the Bulldog Invitational at Provo High School. Meet info can be found by clicking HERE (Disregard the entrance fee for athletes; it will be paid by the school, not you).

Outdoor Track is HERE!

We had a great time at the Simplot Games! We even saw a few meet records broken. (We almost saw a national record in the medley go down). All the Payson athletes that went had a great experience, competed well, and even got some Olympic autographs.

We are extremely excited that outdoor track is finally here. If you have not yet put your name on the team roster or picked up the essential paperwork then ou must see Rockwood ASAP! We will be beginning official practice on Monday (Feb 23) at 3:00. We are planning on meeting on the outdoor track unless it is under snow, even if it is cold. So dress warm.

We have a good number of recruits so far, but it is not enough. You must talk to your friends about joining our team. The more we have on the team, the more successful and the more fun it will be. Our goal is 100 athletes!

Because basketball is still going on, our track teammates who are on the boys and girls teams will not be starting with us on Monday. They will begin when their season ends. In the meantime, please go to their games and throw your full support behind their efforts on the basketball court. One of our coaches, Coach Stevens, is also still involved in basketball. He will be joining us when it is over.

Also, the results of our compatibility tests are in. We will be selling the results for $3.00 each during lunch this week. Please get your own, and get your friends excited about getting theirs. Remember, this is one of our track fundraisers. and we NEED the money for what we have planned this season.

We'll see you on Monday!
